Finished 26.2 for My Dad & the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network!
My dad was a nearly 40-year bladder cancer survivor -- he was first diagnosed the year I was born. He was a fighter and a toughie but also a softie deep down with incredible generosity and love in his heart for his family. He was a Marine Corps veteran and an athlete. I'm no athlete but inspired by his strength, I decided to train for and run the Marine Corps Marathon -- 26.2 miles -- and finished this past weekend!
I am raising funds for the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) to fulfill its mission to advance research, provide information and support, and to raise awareness on bladder cancer. BCAN helped my mom and dad so much in the last two years of his life. We lost him two days after he turned 80 on February 27, 2018. Your donation can help other bladder cancer survivors and their caregivers and family during the most difficult time in their lives.
By making a donation, you will be helping BCAN to promote bladder cancer research education and support programs – but, most importantly, to save lives. Thank you for any gift you can make in honor of my father, Michael Joseph Zmuda, February 25, 1938 to February 27, 2018.
