We Walk in Honor of Sam Leventhal

Eight years. This year will be our eighth walk in memory of my dad, Sam Leventhal. Over the past seven walks, our team has raised over $20,000. We hope this year will continue to be a large fundraising year, even though the walk will be virtual.
So, why do we continue to raise money? Nobody should ever have to go through the heartache of losing somebody you love to a horrible disease like bladder cancer. There are many cancer organizations out there, but BCAN truly utilizes their fundraising dollars the right way. They speak at major cancer conferences to spread their new found treatments to doctors across the world They work with families of newly diagnosed patients to give them life and mental health saving resources. They fight in ways that we cannot.
BCAN is a small organization, and with those donations, I get a personal phone call each year thanking all of you on behalf of the organization.
Right now, more than 600,000 people are living with bladder cancer in the United States. I am participating in the 2021 Virtual Walk to End Bladder Cancer for the many patients, survivors, caregivers, friends, family, and those who have lost a loved one to bladder cancer.
I am asking for your support to help me reach my goal. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $100. Every little bit helps.
Proceeds from the Walk will go to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN), a community of passionate individuals united in support of people touched by bladder cancer.
