SF BCAN Walk 2019 - Team Ahmad (Renata K. Louwers)
Thanks so much for visiting my page to learn more about the 2019 San Francisco Walk to End Bladder Cancer. I lost my first husband, Ahmad Khoshroo, to bladder cancer in 2014. The more I learned about bladder cancer treatment options (or lack thereof), the more I realized how severely underfunded bladder cancer research is relative to other cancers.
I am walking for the more than six hundred thousand people living with bladder cancer in the US; to support the nearly 81,000 who will be diagnosed this year; and to honor the 17,000 who will die from this disease as well as those who we have already lost. The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) is the organization these people turn to in their quest to learn more about this devastating disease.
DONATE NOW! In honor of all those affected by bladder cancer – please help me reach my goal. Any amount helps!
By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping BCAN to promote bladder cancer research education and support programs – but, most important, to save lives.
BCAN is recognized as a four-star charity by Charity Navigator, meaning it meets high standards with regard to financial health, transparency, and accountability. You can feel confident that BCAN will be a good steward of your donation.
And please join me at Fort Mason on May 11 if you can! I would love to walk with you!
